The International Marketplace is an opportunity for you to do your holiday shopping with a social conscience. Support immigrants and refugees in Hamilton by attending our two-day event. Admission is free. 

Enjoy tasty Middle Eastern cuisine, desserts and refreshments while you shop. Syrian music will be performed on Saturday (at 11:30 am & 1:30 pm) by band Yasmeen Al Sham.

Honor Based Violence Poster

In support of Women Abuse Prevention Month, Hamilton Centre for Civic Inclusion (HCCI) invites you to raise awareness about Honour Based Violence (HBV), which is a form violence against an individual who has ‘dishonoured’ their family.

It is critical for service providers to understand the role of cultural factors in violence against women to properly address and intervene effectively. In this information session, we will discuss:

The research was carried in partnership with the Immigrant Working Centre, Hamilton Community Legal Clinic, and the Emergency Support Committee for Refugees.
