It's Your Festival 2016 will celebrate Canada's Birthday in beautiful Gage Park from July 01 to July 03, 2016. The festival is presented by the Hamilton Folk Arts Heritage Council.

Join us on June 20th to hear stories of success from refugees at different stages of their settlement journey. Also view a display of artwork created by clients of the newcomer programs at Wesley Urban Ministries.

The sessions are for anyone interested in being a “Friend to a Newcomer” to the Government Assisted Refugees through Wesley Urban Ministries.

The Hamilton Urban Core Community Health Centre will host its 18th Annual Health Street Fair on June 15, 2016. The theme this year is “You Are Not Alone When Comes to Your Health”

The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board and St Charles Adult & Continuing Education are offering a summer morning program for newcomer families.

The program will run from August 29th – September 2nd, 2016, from 9am-12pm.

Children 0-14 years of age and their parents are invited to attend.  There is no cost to attend this program.

Both children and parents will have the opportunity to learn English and school routines.  Parents will also have the opportunity to attend workshops each day.
